New Azure AD RMS template does't displayed in command line RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed RMS Protection Tool and Windows PowerShell for Azure Rights Management.

I create custom templates in Azure RMS with the Azure Management Portal.

Using Get-AadrmTemplate command, all the templates display.

But using Get-RMSTemplate command, the new template does not display, only display two default templates  Confidential View Only and Confidential.

I have cleared the cache folder '%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSIPC\Templates',the new one still does not display.

    Why?

  • Did you try running the command with the -Force option?  From https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt433197.aspx:

    -Force

Indicates that this cmdlet downloads the templates directly from the Azure RMS service or from the AD RMS server, instead of using the cached templates on your computer that might be out of date.

  • Thanks for reply.

Yes,I run command with the -Force option, but custom rights policy template does not display.

    I have specified account context.

    C:\PS>Set-RMSServerAuthentication
    –Key zIeMu8zNJ6U377CLtppkhkbl4gjodmYSXUVwAO5ycgA=
    -AppPrincipalId b5e3f76a-b5c2-4c96-a594-a0807f65bba4
    -BposTenantId 23976bc6-dcd4-4173-9d96-dad1f48efd42

    C:\PS>Get-RMSTemplate -Force

    Only build-in templates display.

I perform all commands according to RMS Protection Tool Documentation.pdf.

Bug may occur in supporting Azure fuctions by using RMS Protection Tool.

If this is a bug,is there a workaround?
