Windows 10 user GPO loses edited settings after closing policy RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are running Windows 2008 R2 DCs, and have recent windows 10 group policy templates in the central store.

We are currently editing a user policy for Windows 10, and when we check the policy again or come to do another change we find most of the time the policy we added has wiped the setting or the Administrative Templates section of the policy is completely missing (the other sections are still there though). This problem can be recreated many times for the win 10 policy, although the windows 7 policy amendment for the same area looks fine.

We thought it may be due to the GPMC version since we were using the RSAT from Windows 10 locally, so we started to edited the policy directly from the DC, but it shouldn't make a difference anyway since we are using the central store, and the Administrative Templates section still got wiped.

The DC replication looks ok (we are using FRS though instead of DFSR since we are still using Windows 2003 domain and forest level due to business reasons at the moment)

    Any info/advice appreciated.
