More information available on KB3025097, "Invalid device" from the Windows NFS client? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to get more information on KB3025097?

I am working on an NFS server implementation and I'd like to know whether there is anything that can be done to avoid the issue from the server side. The KB article does not say what was the issue with the NFS client and how the hotfix changed the behavior. Any additional details about the KB3025097 issue would save me the trouble of trying to tweak the NFS server behavior to see if the Windows NFS client will accept it.

Any hints on what the issue is related to would be very helpful. E.g., is it something about our FSSTAT reply that Windows NFS client doesn't like?

Ultimately we need a solution for all recent Windows versions (Win 7 or later), but any information that applies to any Windows version would be helpful and valuable.

    Thanks!
