I use MS ACCESS 2010 on a Windows 8 PC as a frontend to a SQL Database and linked tables using a DSN file.
I have need for a field where a large amount of text will be stored. When I exceed 8000 characters I get the error "text too long to be edited"
I've tried the SQL Native Client and the ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server without success.
I've searched and searched for a solution but have unable to finding anything useful to resolve the issue.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
In the linked table have you check, that you CLOB column is mapped to MS Access data type "Memo"?
