Enabling an RDP connection to a VM in 'the cloud'? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey Folks,

A simple question from a novice IT person here: I have a windows 2012 VM provisioned in a cloud datacenter sat behind a firewall and I would like to be able to access it via rdp from my physical workstation.

I have enabled RDP access through server manager and also enabled the firewall to allow external connections.

What is the correct name/naming convention I need to use in my local rdp client? is it the IP address of the VM or something else?

    Your thoughts please :-)
