0x80070003 error during configuration RRS feed

  • Good Evening,

    I have a problem with post-instalation configuration of WSUS on Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials (after demoting the DC role, I would like to achieve Essentials in a non-domain lab environment). I receive error 0x80070003 The system cannot find the path specified. Here are the last lines in the log:

    Configuration works in default (domain) environment. However, I would like to have access to WSUS or foldering sharing by non-domain users

    According to the log, post-installation fails at configuring IIS.

    Have your changed anything in IIS? Please try to follow the steps below to re-install the IIS:

    • Remove the IIS role
    • Rename inetpub, inetsrv folder
    • Re-install IIS

    Then please install the WSUS again.

    If issue persits, we may try to run the processmonitor to find the detailed path which casues this issue.
