VDI sessions not automatically coming out of "saved" state upon user login RRS feed

  • Question

  • Have a Server 2012 R2 Datacenter environment setup with a VDI collection.  User's VDI sessions are going into a saved state (by design), but then when the user goes to log back in, their thin client errors out.  If I go into Hyper-V manager and manually start the VDI it comes out of the saved state, and the user is able to then connect from their thin client.  This problem is happening sporadically and some users are fine.  Inherited this client, so wasn't involved with the implementation, but can't figure out what's going on.  Any help or thoughts are appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Hi Lake,

To further troubleshoot this issue, please try to find out a pattern such as timing, windows patching interval, also compare settings between problematic and working users.

In addition, please also check related event logs to see whether more clues can be found, terminal services related logs are under:

Event Viewer -> Applications and Services Logs\ Microsoft\ Windows.

    Best Regards,

    Amy
