Can't see user in Skype directory RRS feed

  • Question

  • We're just starting to use Skype.

Users can only see a sub-set of people in the directory. When I look at user profiles in Skype, some (who are visible) have a "View Source" entry "Outlook (Skype for Business Contact)". Other users who are in our Office 365 environment but not visible in Skype, do not have this entry. Where does this "Outlook (Skype for Business Contact)" come from and how do I enable it? Note, all personal info on these contacts has been erased.

  • Hello Scott,

Lync/SFB automatically stores the contact in outlook in a folder called Skype  for Business contacts and it shows up when you select the contact card. do you have an onpremise exchange configured , then you can check the UCS contact store option as well

  • Hi ScottScott,

In the contact card "View Source" usually says "Outlook Lync Contacts" where it creates a folder in Outlook call "Lync" and place all the "Lync" contacts.

It means the user information is stored in the Skype for Business Contacts folder in Outlook client
