IAG File Access - No Domain Selected error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have had this problem before and connot remember how I got around it.

Basically when I go through the configuration for File Access I select the domain (IAG appliance is a domain member) and then select servers. No servers show up then I get the error message when I refresh saying No domain(s) selected. Select domain(s) first!. The domain has been selected and I can go to the command prompt and browse to the file share from the IAG appliance. It just doesn't want to work through the GUI.

Has anybody got any ideas ?

  • A common problem with file access is that the AD repository uses the FQDN of the domain, rather then the Netbios short name (eg: contoso.com instead of contoso). Try to change that and see if that helps, Darren.

  • Hi!

I have the same problem. How to use the Netbios short name?

    Thanks

  • The issue was down to the Windows filewall blocking file and share access
