Email sent based upon user selection - How? RRS feed

  • Need help with Workflow Email Send To line:

    List Information

    Column Name: Assigned

    Type = Choice Box Selections are; (User can select one or multiple)

    ALL

    Team A

    Team B

    Team C

    Column Name: TeamAReq

    Type = Single Line of Text  

    Column Name: TeamBReq

    Type = Single Line of Text  

    Column Name: TeamCReq

    Type = Single Line of Text  

    Workflow Information

    If Assigned contains ALL set the TeamAReq, TeamB and TeamC to YES

    Or If Assigned contains Team A set to Yes

     |

    If Assigned contains ALL set the TeamAReq, TeamB and TeamC to YES

     Or If Assigned contains Team B set to Yes

    |

    If Assigned contains ALL set the TeamAReq, TeamB and TeamC to YES

    Or If Assigned contains Team C set to Yes

      |

    then Email 

    My Question is, how do I get the Email to look at which teams have been selected (ALL or 1 or 2) and send to only those selected.

  • Hi, TxSteve,

    I will recommend you to add send email action in every if-then condition. As for choice column, the return value will only be string. You cannot use it directly as email address.  So the workflow will be like


    Change log action to the action you need. Set the column value to Yes and send email to corresponding group in each if then condition.
