FPE 2010 and 550 5.7.1 Message rejected due to content restrictions error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have Forefront for Exchange 2010 RU2 installed on an Exchange 2007 SP3 Edge server.

Overall we are very happy with the Spam performance since installing a month ago.

However we having issues with some inbound emails being blocked for unknown reasons.

The Forefront Incident log records this:

    "Detection Time: 22/03/2011 8:37 AM

    State: Rejected

    Incident Category: Spam

Incident Name: Spam Detected using engine 'Cloudmark'

    File: Entire Message.eml

    Folder: Content Filter Agent

    Scan Job Name: Transport"

The Exchange log reports: "550 5.7.1 Message rejected due to content restrictions"

The strange thing about this is that these messages are being sent to two different internal recipients and in most cases is successfully delivered to one of the recipient, but not the other.  It is always same recipient where it gets blocked.

It not always the same sender who is blocked, but it is same small group of senders who are located in separate sending domain.  All of the emails relate to the same topic.

There are only 400+ people in the Exchange organisation, and these are only two experiencing the problems with the 550 5.7.1 Message rejected due to content restrictions message.

Exchange Safe Sender List aggregation is enabled and the senders concerned are on it.

    Any suggestions?
