WSUS 4.0 Clients Not Updating

Hi All,
I have a WSUS 4.0 install on a Win2K12 server. I have other Win2K12 servers that are showing as "not reported status yet" for the past 5 days. I have checked to see if KB2734608 was applied but it is not applicable to the server. I have double checked GPO and everything is set correctly.
I have also tried without luck
Net stop wuauserv
rd /s %windir%\softwaredistribution\Net start wuauserv"
I have also tried and no luck
wuauclt /resetauthorization
wuauclt /detectnow
wuauclt /reportnow
Here is the WindowsUpdate log file info. I am clueless at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
can you check the exact version of WSUS, (is it on 2012 or 2012r2, and what patch level is it at)? Also, are any clients reporting in to it, or is it just the 10`1 clients?
Just as an aside, there is no version WSUS 4.0, Microsoft skipped that basically and went to 6.x :)

Thanks for the response. So the version as you point out is 6.2.9200 on a 2012 non R2 server. It is fully patched. Currently, I get clients reporting in. I have Win7 Pro and 2008R2 clients reporting in but non of my other 2012 non R2 servers, save one, are reporting back. WSUS detected them but there is no status on them. The log I posted is from one of the 2012 servers that is not reporting back. Thanks again!

Ok, so if at least one of them is ok we have a starting point. Can you post full logs from a server that isn't contacting back, and one that is? i'm curious to see if the snippet below matches in both.

Also, is there anything different between group policy on those devices? And (I'm assuming not) but were the machines imaged/cloned?

Hi Micheal,
I am having problems posting the logs. I keep getting an error stating the body must be 4 to 60000 characters long. I know that it's way more than 4 characters in length and less than the 60000. I ended up having to post it as an HTML code block below. At any rate, I did check to see if the WU client versions were different between the one reporting and one not reporting and they are different. The one that is working is using client version 7.8.9200.17099 and the one that is not working is using client version 7.8.9200.17172.

So, from the error code list
0x8024D009 WU_E_SETUP_SKIP_UPDATE An update to the Windows Update Agent was skipped due to a directive in the wuident.cab file.
0x8024F002 WU_E_REPORTER_EVENTNAMESPACEPARSEFAILED The XML in the event namespace descriptor could not be parsed.
Unfortunately I haven't found anything that looks reasonable for these, other than this post pointing to doing the steps you tried to delete the softwaredistribution directory. Can you try to stop the service again, rename the folder, then reboot the server, and see if that resolves the issue? (just to rule out any issues from the CLI the first time you tried)

Thanks for you help. I did try the steps as you suggested but still no go. At this point I don't know whether I should try to contract MS or not and see if they can help. I pretty much came up with the same info you did trying to find information online about it. At any rate, thanks again for your help!
