How to specify French accented characters on oData HTTPS requests? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using HTTPS requests to query a ProjectData 2013 server French implementation. The standard Project table names have been translated by Microsoft and the resulting names include accents. Querying tables with accents works just fine irregardless of the choosen character encoding (the server supports everything). For instance the next two URL return the same results (Task table):

    https://abc.sharepoint.com/sites/projet-dev/_api/projectdata/Tâches?$format=json"
    https://abc.sharepoint.com/sites/projet-dev/_api/projectdata/T%C3%A2ches?$format=json"

The problem is with column names. Microsoft also renames standard table columns using accents. The above queries returns names such as DuréeRéelleProjet.

How should those names be written in the $filter part of the URL below to achieve a successful query?

    https://abc.sharepoint.com/sites/projet-dev/_api/projectdata/T%C3%A2ches?$filter=DuréeRéelleProjet eq 0&$format=json"

    https://abc.sharepoint.com/sites/projet-dev/_api/projectdata/T%C3%A2ches?$filter=Dur%C3%A9eR%C3%A9elleProjet eq 0&$format=json"

BTW I have tried almost any possible delimiter: single quote, double quote, (), [], {}, !!... :-((

    Regards

    Louis
