Windows 2019 Server and Domain Controller having issues together RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Windows 2019 Data Center that was setup as a Domain Controller and then added a second 2019 Standard as another Domain Controller.  I have a Windows 2019 Standard Server that was added to the domain and no problems. A few months later it starts to provide that there is an error talking to the Domain Controller on getting Time sync and Global Policy was not responding.  Each domain controller was tried separately (other turned off) with the machine being removed and readded to the domain with no issues. The other problem we are seeing is that any student trying to login will get an error that a domain login is not available at this time. Yet using the Administrator account we can login to client. Created a new user with identical permissions on Administrator and it too cannot login even though it is a backup Admin account. So the built-in Administrator account is the only way to login. The software we run on this server throws up an error that it cannot connect the domain. We have modified the hosts file to have the IP/name of the Domain Controllers that has not helped as well as having all firewall information disabled.  Also the time was off on the DC but the other machine had the same time of DC. We tested Pinging all machines back and forth by IP and DNS name with no issues.  Need help getting this back up quickly as 75 school computers cannot log in at the moment. Thanks
