MDT Server & Domain Migration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings,

I am migrating my MDT server from my local hardware server to a new Virtual server.  In the process i have migrated all the deployment shares and edited them all as normal.  Everything on that end is working great the part i am having issues with now is that when i boot to PXE it connects to my new wds, the litetouch script runs fine but when logging into the MDT Script it is still stuck on wanting the domain credentials from the original setup.  I have rebuilt all the boot WIM files and everything but still cannot find the hook that is requiring the old domain.  If anyone knows where to find this data i would appreciate any help as this is the last step i need resolved before its ready for production again.

    Thanks,

    Jason

  • Check your BootStrap.ini and make sure it's pointing to the new Deployment Share.

this was kinda right but not exactly.  I had already changed my Bootstrap.ini but the issue was that i used IP address instead of FQDN.  once i changed it to FQDN it picked up and everything worked as expected.  Thanks for the reply.
