Can you set your project file to only sync with SharePoint on command? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm syncing my project file with SharePoint and everything is working as expected.

One issue I'm having is that whenever I save the file it automatically runs the sync routine. The problem is that with a 400 task file, it take several minutes. I've turned off auto save because of this.

Is there a way to simple save a file and call the sync operation manually?

When you save the MPP file, Microsoft Project automatically syncs the project with the SharePoint site.  There is no way to change this behavior.  I think your best move was to disable AutoSave and to only save your project when you are ready to do so.  Hope this helps.
