Remote location showing error on domain joining time- An active directory domain controller (ad dc) for the domain could not be contacted RRS feed

    We have two location one location have DC and it is domain environment and another location have no Server and it is work group. We have decided join this work group (remote location) in domain. but our DC is HO location and both location are connected through lease line  and both are pinging between each other and also done nslookup.

    But remote location showing error on domain joining time.

    I have checked and observed ip,gateway and dns is perfect  then why coming below error.

    Hi,

    Can you give some more details on the error you get when trying to join domain?

    Do you have clients pointing to your DC/DNS server(s)? Any firewall(s) preventing communication between the client and the DNS/DC?
