The clock on the incident form RRS feed

  • Question

  • This may sound a silly question question however, could somebody please explain what the clock on the incident managment form is actually used for? For the life of me I cannot work out how this utilised. Is it related to the 'Time worked' field on the 'Resolution' tab?

Also it is very difficult to see whether it is on or off. When you click it the change in appearance is really minor.

    Thanks

  • Hi,
My understanding is that when you open a incident the "clock" start tick, and measure how much time you have put on that incident. But if you need to, you can pause the time with that clock icon.

  • Thanks Anders,

Yep I did some further testing and thats about right. Interestingly if you open an incident and close it by selecting 'Cancel' the time is not added to the incident. Time only seems to be added if you select 'OK'.

Secondly the clock display to turn it off & on is in my opinion really poor with only a slight change in the shade of grey. I hope this changes for RTM.

    Thanks
