IntelliPoint 6.2 on Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • When trying to install IntelliPoint 6.2 on Vista I am told that the program is blocked and "IntelliPoint has a known compatibility issue with this version of Windows". After clicking the button "Check for solutions online", "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" pops up and disappears after a couple of seconds without displaying any result.

  • Hi,

I suggest going to remove all the IntelliPoint related software and then download the latest one from http://www.microsoft.com/hardware to check.

    Reference:

Intellipoint software will not load in Windows Vista.

  • According to Microsoft you should be using version 7.1 or 8.2.  Version 6.2 is for Win 2000 and XP.

Go to http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/downloads and download the recommended version.
