  • You should create a specific receive connector for your application, add the application servers IP to the allowed list and either :

    - if your application can authenticate and TLS, allow Exchange User, authenticated users can send email outside org.

    - add the ms-exch-smtp-accept-any-recipient adpermission to a specific connector

    - configure the connector as externally secure

This going from the more  to less secure.

  • Hi,

You will need to create a Send Connector with a Partner. Messages will be encrypted.

Check this article : Create a Send Connector to Send Email to a Partner, with Transport Layer Security (TLS) Applied

  • Hi Jagadeesan,

Receive connector can receive mails from the application server, no matter if its for internal or external user.

Receive connector will then submit the mails in submission queue & then it will be submitted to categorizer.

Categorizer will then resolve the recipient information & deliver the mail to the next hop(Internal\external user).

Receive connector should be configured properly meeting your requirement.

Messages will be encrypted while sending.

    Hope this will help

    Thanks & Regards, Pawan G.
