Problem with directory Logs in installation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody,

I've tried to install SQL SERVER Express 2014 in my computer and I didn't install. I think that I have a problem with directory of logs. I have a SSD (128 gb, only) and I changed my default path to F:\Programs Files\* in regedit, also  F:\Programs Files (x86)\*.

I get obtained the following message:

    "The following error has occurred:

SQL Server Setup has encountered an error when running a Windows Installer file.

Windows Installer error message: Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and that you can write to it.

    Windows Installer file: C:\Users\Feli\Downloads\SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU (2)\redist\watson\dw20shared.msi
    Windows Installer log file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Setup Bootstrap\Log\20160426_135531\WatsonX86_Cpu32_1.log

Click 'Retry' to retry the failed action, or click 'Cancel' to cancel this action and continue setup.

    For help, click: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkID=20476&ProdName=Microsoft%20SQL%20Server&EvtSrc=setup.rll&EvtID=50000&ProdVer=12.0.2000.8&EvtType=0xDC80C325"

    I viewed that path "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Setup Bootstrap\Log\" doesn't exist, but, it exist "F:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Setup Bootstrap\Log\".

Where is the way to change the path in the installation?

Thanks for your help, and I'm sorry for English
