Copy/Paste to make a new table differs from using a Make Table query. MS Access 2003, Object Window RRS feed

When, in the Object Window, I manually COPY a Table 'x' and PASTE it with data and structure to table 'xx' I get an intact copy retaining all field properties, indices & descriptions.

I want to do this in code.  To get an SQL at a starting point to do this I used a Make Table Query.  The problem is that the resultant  table has just the field names with default properties and not  the parent properties, indices, etc.

To get around this I tried using the docmd.CopyObject object, but with the same result.

Am I missing something here.  What is the robust way to make a true copy of table object in code?
