  • Hi, we actually following a duplicate process for windows xp sp 3 from a master disc to many disc for many pcs, then which considerations after the clonation process do we have to take before include all the pcs in our active directory to avoid problem to take GPO policy?

  • But what are the networks symptoms if you forgot change the SID in every pc clonned?

  • I don't know what all the symptoms will be.  I just know the best practice is to run Sysprep before cloning.

    There may be ill effects of not doing this, and if so, you can run Sysprep on the individual clones as they come up.

    One thing I can think of is that if you cloned an un-Sysprep-ed image, the licence keys will all be identical, and so you will have problems activating the Windows.
