Windows server 2012 r2 to old to update

Windows update does not find an updates ......

wuaueng.dll version is 2013 (7.9.9600 16384) when was the next update after this ?

I have tried applying the latest, but it says not applicable, I assume because it is missing pre-requites ?

There are two updates released in 2014 and 2015 for 2012 servers, please try installing below

The first one is superseded by second one

Thanks Hari,

I tried both, got the update not applicable message for both.

They do say server 2012 rather than R2 though ?

Do you have the latest roll up installed? Or which is most recent monthly roll up your server has?

Below one is specifically for 2012 R2

But it is superseded by below and many other roll-up has this update

Hi,


If you have automatic updating turned on, the latest version of the Windows Update Agent is downloaded and installed automatically on your computer.


If you do not have automatic updating turned on, follow these steps in the below to obtain the latest version of the Windows Update Agent. Also It includes the different WUA versions information: "How to update the Windows Update Agent to the latest version."
