Cannot open file in Windows 7 RRS feed

    I cannot open my .docx file. I cannot even copy the file. A similar problem has occured with another file(presummably at the same time) however I am able to copy this file. I have tried converting the folder in which they are contained to zip and sending it to myself. The files apparently contain no data. I have also tried opening it in Open Office but to no avail. Please help me, these files contain several weeks of work.

    Hi,

     

    Since you cannot open this .docx file via Office Web Apps, the file may be corrupted in this case. As a test, you could try to open this file via Accessories\WordPad.

    Upload the Word file to SkyDrive and open it with Office Web Apps.

    Thank you very much for your suggestion.
    I was given the follwoing error for the file which is allowing me to copy it:
    <label id="message" class="WACStandardDialogLabel">Word Web App cannot open this document for viewing because of an unexpected error. To view this document, open it in Microsoft Word.</label>
    <label id="errorId" class="WACErrorId">Error Id: a71252cd-7218-4ebb-a7f6-43f9922e998b, 20120102222254</label>
    I was not even able to upload the other file.
    Is there anything else I can try? I don't even need to preserve images or format, all I want at this stage are the words.
