MDT Multiple TaskSequences: How to enable OOBE in Windows 10 in one TS? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have multiple task sequences, one for domain joined computers and 1 for BYOD(non domain joined) devices. I would like to enable the OOBE only for the BYOD image.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance

  • You will just edit the unattended.xml file in the task sequence properties in the OS Info tab. You can then modify the OOBE phase for that task sequence.

You can also modify the customsettings.ini file to apply specific setting based on task sequence ID.

  • You can when you just want to sysprep the machine but then you need to capture it. I have not done it that way with MDT. You can with WDS but you need to create a winpe boot wim http://www.itingredients.com/how-to-capture-image-and-deploy-image-using-wds/
