Trouble using PSTN Gateway & Assigning SNOM 320 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

After successfully installing Lync on a 2008 x64 machine, fully integrated with everything it needs to and i've tested everything i can think of, i cannot make either my softphone (the Lync client) or my IP Phone (SNOM 320) make internal or external calls.

When i try on the softphone, i get an error stating "Your organization does not support calling this number" and when I'm on the snom, nothing happens.

I think I'm just missing something simple but i cannot seem to get it to work - any ideas?

  • - Do you have a mediation server role deployed?
    - Do you have a gateway, direct sip integration or SIP trunk deployed and configured?
    - Did you assign the users telephony phone numbers and enabled them for enterprise voice?
    - Did you configure voice routing (dial plan, voice policies, routes, pstn usage, ...) ?

Looks like your current configuration does not permit calling outside numbers, which may indicate missing routing or wrong policy configuration.

See "Deploying Enterprise Voice" for more information.
