Thinking you mean the touchpad, on my laptop the hold the Fn key and F6 disables the touchpad. Your laptop \ notepad might use a different F key so look at the pictures on them that match the Fn key colour, touchpad for me is a rectangle with two rectangles
at the bottom (like pad and the two buttons) with a line through it.
If that does not work or is not an option then please go to you manufacture website and see what drivers \ software is available for the touchpad and install that and see what options you get.
