Is VBA (in Visio 2007) fully supported under Windows 7? RRS feed

    Hi,

    We are facing issues with VBA macros (in Visio 2007) when running under Windows 7 64-bit.

    The system has issues with rendering of a large dialog box. For example, the dialog box does not appear. If another application gets the focus and then Visio 2007 re-gains the focus, then the dialog box appears.

    Currently, we are experimenting withe the following stetting:

    1. Select the Visio shortcut (or the Visio exe file).
    2. Right-Click to open the context menu.
    3. Choose Properties.
    4. On the Compatibility tab choose, for example, Run this programm in compatibility mode for Windows Vista (SP 2).

    This seems to help.

    Does anybody know whether VBA 6.5 is not fully supported under Windows 7?

    You can check it on Windows 7 Compatibility Center:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/

     

    If there is no information in Compatibility Center, the program may not compatible with Windows 7.
