Duplicate Distribution point entries in console RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have added 1 site system and installed distribution point role.

I can see there are 2 entries (Both the entries have same ID) of that site system at following locations:

    1. Distribution points under Administration>Security
    2. Distribution point configuration status under Monitoring>Distribution Status

I have also noticed that there are 2 entries available for every package for that particular distribution point in the monitoring section with same status message.

Any Ideas, how I can remove 1 of them without affecting that site ?

  • You will have to open a support case for this as this is totally anomalous and will probably require direct modification of the DB.

  • Yes,

I can see 2 entries when I query "Select * from sms_distributionPointInfo" in wbemtest.
I tried to remove 1 of the entry but it throws me an error and I'm not sure what would be the after effect of removal of 1 of the entry.

This is the only way to solve the Problem.
