Microsoft Teams Call Forwarding Caller ID RRS feed

  • We use Microsoft Teams to forward emergency calls from an auto attendant to an external mobile phone number.

    As this phone wants to make use of iOS features like "let calls from this number through slient mode", the call which is forwarded should have the caller ID of the user which does the forward.

    The current behaviour is, that the ID from the real user which calls the auto attendant is forwarded.

    How can we stop this specific auto attendant or "forward user" in teams enviroment to forward the caller id and use its own?

    Using "Caller ID" rules in Teams portal do not have effect on this forwarded calls.

    Which type of caller ID belongs to emergency calls in your organization?

    In my research, maybe you could choose “Play menu options” in “route the call” in auto attendant. So different caller ID can redirect to different destinations depending on choice. You can refer the image as below:
