    Hi All,

    I would like to know how can I switch email encryption settings in Outlook 2016, so that it can start using AES256 encrpytion algorithm instead of 3DES?

    Hi,

    You may try the following steps and see whether this is what you want:

    1. In Outlook, click File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.
    2. In the "Trust Center" window that appears, select E-mail Security.
    3. Under the "Encrypted E-mail" heading, click the Settings button.
    4. In the "Change Security Settings" dialog than opens, under the "Certificates and Algorithms" heading, click the "Encryption Algorithm" drop-down menu. Set it to AES (256-bit) if it isn't already set to that.
