Service Manager Console - Actions Audit RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was playing around in Service Manager Console and decided to delete an old, unused Management Pack. Unfortunately, I misclicked, and deleted the wrong pack. Now, I have to re-create the pack, but the even bigger problem is I don't know which one was deleted, and I don't want to wait until something breaks before I can fix it. My last backup was a month ago, and lots of changes have been made since.

Is there any audit trail that shows what pack was deleted, and, hopefully, what it contained? If not, is there any way some ad hoc version can be made, just in case something similar happens again?

  • As far as I know there is no log with information which MP was deleted.

To prevent this issue in the future you should backup your MPs on a regular base.

A useful blog post how to get this done:

    Export all unsealed management packs

If you schedule this script on a daily base you get a backup of your MPs every day.
