Windows Server 2003 and Isa Server 2006 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I'd like to test Isa Server 2006 on Windows Server 2003 SP2 in a Workgroup environment.
This server is a DualCore-based server.

Any issues with kind of configuration?

    this is a supported configuration.

when installing ISA 2006 on an 2003SP2 machine, you need to consider the SP2 has made several changes on the TCPIP stack that can cause diffrent wierd things happening in ISA so it is recommanded to disable some of those changes by registry.

what you need to do before installing ISA is to change the following registry keys:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

    EnableTCPA REG_DWORD 0x0

    EnableRSS REG_DWORD 0x0

    EnableTCPChimney REG_DWORD 0x0

Please review the below articles for details. KB 936594. You may experience network-related problems after you install Windows Server 2003 SP2 or the Scalable Networking Pack:
