project server 2010 timesheet configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working in a sandbox environment to sample the "out of the box" functionality of project server 2010.  we are currently using a VERY customized 2007 version.

    Questions:

    1. is there a way to make the task data wrap automatically on a global level so you can read the entire task without having to expand the cell?

    2.  can the column data be changed?  i would want them in a different order and add a couple fields.

    To answer your questions:

    1.  No, there is no way to make task names wrap globally on the Timesheet or Tasks page in PWA.

    2.  Yes, you have a limited amount of control over the columns displayed in the Timesheet by editing the Timesheet view in PWA.  Click Server Settings > Manage Views.  You can edit the columns and their order in either the My Timesheet view and/or the My Work view.  Be forewarned that you can not have as much control over the order of the columns as you would like

    Hope this helps.

  • Debbie,

    1. Unfortunately timesheet page can not be customized other than available out of the box options.

    2. Yes, From PWA >> Server Settings >> Manage Views, edit My timesheet or My Work view to re-organize the column
