  • Hi Gena,

Is there any trigger for this issue or does this issue happen upon Outlook starts?

What type of email account is the user using? Exchange, IMAP or POP3? If it's an Exchange account, please make sure he has the cached Exchange mode enabled.

Does the user have any shared folders opened in his Outlook? Are these shared folders cached to local drive?

In addition, does this issue continue if we try to start Outlook in safe mode? To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type outlook /safe and press Enter.

  • When we run lot of applications in our system at same time, the  operating system is not able to provide resources to each application making them run slow or hang. To avoid this we can stop some applications or repair them. To avoid Outlook problems we can repair it by following method.

    • Close any MS Office Application that is running currently and remember to save data before closing it.
    • Go to control Panel and then Program and features
    • Right click on MS office>>Change and select Repair

With this process you can repair Outlook and prevent it from getting slow and avoid error "Outlook not responding".
