Blue Screen Upon Login: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit RRS feed

  • Question

    Hello all.

When I start my computer, it boots up fine all the way to the login screen. Then when I login, about half the time I get the BSOD. When I do not get the BSOD soon after logging in, I usually never get it until I start the computer again. I was wondering if there is any solution to this problem.

I recently installed the KB929735 and the past 2 logins have been successful, but I have no idea if that affected it or not. Could this update help?

Also, I have been shutting down my computer every night since I got it. Since I don't get the BSOD if the login is successful, would I be better off just leaving my power on and going into sleep mode or hibernate at night?

    Thank You.
