Forefront Client Security conflicts with Symantec RRS feed

  • Question

  • Recently we have pushed Forefront Client Security to one of our clients. We had to remove all traces of Symantec & IE8 on all their workstations in order for FCS to work. So after doing so, we notice that some of our clients are seeing Symantec back in the "Add or Remove programs", which is weird. Also some of the clients cannot do a softboot. They have to manually turn off their workstations if they want to reboot or shutdown. If they do go to Start>Shutdown to get the Shutdown window to pop up so they can choose "Restart" - It just freezes up every single time.

    I have tried the following:

Uninstalled Symantec AV, Cleaned their Startup, Ran Virus Definitions for FCS, Ran CCleaner (also Registry Cleaner with it), Malware Bytes (Made sure it was up to date) Ran Scandisk, Disabled Symantec on the Servers & Uninstalled them on the Servers as well. Ran updates on FCS.  Then some of them will work and some will work temporarily then have the same problem the next day.

    Any suggestions, advice???
