HyperV scsi syntheric drivers don"t run under Windows XP SP3 RRS feed

  • Question

I've installed Windows XP SP3 in a Hyper-V virtual machine, with the HyperV drivers.

synthetic drivers for video, mouse and network run well

but SCSI driver show a yellow icon in device manager. SCSI disk are not recognized.

With Windows 2003 server SP2 32 bits in another virtual machine, SCSI synthetic drivers run well.

Do you known if SCSI is fat faster than IDE on HyperV virtual machine?

  • SCSI disks are not supported under XP guests - but the performance of IDE disks should be "as good as SCSI"
