My automatic update fails with error 80092004; I tried the manual install suggested which fails too (followed the link from an article, downloaded, install failed); Running Windows Vista Home Premium, with SP2; Dell Dimensions
DXP061 (Intel Quad Q6600)
KB975008 also failed in the automatic update - error 80246007
Various other updates have installed succesfully (e.g. KB978207)
The problem started 11/12/2009; up to then I never had a failure on automatic updates
I run McAffee Security Center
I tried the Vista forum - still no luck I do not have too much time to muck around with this
The update still fails, and it slows down my machine ; because it tries again and again
