Back ground programs RRS feed

     I have a emachine EL 1352G-01 with windows 7 on it and i lookes in msconfig to see what all programs was running in my system and there are about 60 some programs running. And i'm not shure what all reallys need to be running if any .could you please let me know what should be running in the background and what does not need to be running.

  • Nothing listed on Msconfig is essential to boot the computer, but it may be essential to some Microsoft/third party applications. For example, you may have installed some antivirus or anti-malware software that you want to keep checked in Msconfig to protect your system. You may want to uncheck an auto-update module from your disk burning software, for example, as you may not deem it necessary. It depends on the programs you use and your particular needs.
