Is it possible to correct Windows Explorer (In W7 starter) so it can aknew recognize that the DVD unit contains an emptty CD/DVD and proceed after to burn it? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows explorer seems to have lost a few functionnalities: it is impossible to have it burn a CD. I utilize Nero. This program sends a message saying ther is no burner. This is false. How do I correct this annoying situation? The DVD unit reads OK. It appears with the other peripherals branched to the computer.

This problem occured after a week on my new computer. In the first days it worked OK, then I have burned a CD with photos for friends, a couple visiting us. Later on, I tried to burn an qudio CD for my wife. I could not execute the task and discovered then that the Burner unit, containing an empty CD was not perceived or recognize anymore.
