Cannot Disable Conversation History on Skype Mobile RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

Im trying to disable conversation history with users using the mobile app to communicate with a PC client user. I can stop the conversation history on the PC client side, but If the mobile user starts a conversation with a PC client user, that conversation's history is saved on the mobile users Outlook. I've tried turning off AllowSaveIMHistory with Set-CsMobilityPolicy, but still the conversation history is saved. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know on the PC client it is set in the options, but there doesn't seem to be any settings on the Mobile client.

    Thank you.

  • Hi rundownbassman92,

Please have a try to set “EnableIMAutoArchiving” and “EnableCallLogAutoArchiving” to “false” in client policy and check the result.

Also check the “EnableServerConversationHistory” attribute value. When it is set to “True”, it allows conversation histories, missed call notifications, and missed IM notifications to be stored on the server instead of in client mailboxes.
