Can't see deliverables created in PWA in Project Professional 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Using Project Server 2010 and Project Professional 2010.

Created a project and published to server and created project site.

I can sucessfully create deliverables in Project Professional and link to tasks if required and then via PWA view these Deliverables in the Project Site. However, I do not seem to be able to do this the other way round - i.e creating on the Project Site and then be able to see them in the project when opened in Project Professional.

From PWA, went to project site and created deliverables. Opened Project in Project Professional and went to Manage Deliverables, then clicked Get Updates, but I cannot see these deliverables listed.

I presume there is something basic I am doing wrong - is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

    Many thanks

  • I believe that's by design - or at least that's the behavior I observed the
last time I tested it.  I am not aware of a fix.

  • Agreed With Andrew, I have also observed that you can create deliverables in Project Professional and link to tasks then you can view these Deliverables in the Project Site but the other way doesn't work. It seems to be desgin of deliverables functionality of Project server to better manage the meta data of Deliverables using MS project.
