  • Question

  • Hi

yesterday I downloaded windows 8 pro to upgrade my Toshiba z830

all went well but then I had to purchase an 2013 upgrade for the utilities package as it was having issues with windows 8

now I have a blue screen with a driver power state failure signal and it keeps crashing and re starting itself

just prior to this I could not switch the computer off!!

unfortuneately my knowledge on these matters is not great

I have tried to uninstall the utilities package but find it will not uninstall

    can someone  help me  please

These were related to your USB3HUB.SYS.  Since that is a part of the OS can you run a system file check.  Also what devices do you have on USB?

To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
    SFC /SCANNOW

It may need to be run up to three times before successful

  •  We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are if you dont know if you are, you are not)
To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:
    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Please upload them to a file sharing service like Skydrive or"Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

    To ensure minidumps are enabled:
    * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
    * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
    * Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
    * Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
    * Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    * OK your way out.
    * Reboot if changes have been made.

Please also run MSinfo32 and upload the output as well.
To run MSinfo32 please go to start>run>MSinfo32
Go to "file" "save" and upload the saved file with the DMPS
(Instructions for XP, Vista, Win 7, Win 8)

  • Hi,

You can contact the software provider for a method to uninstall it clear.

Also, please refer to the following article about this error information:

  • Hi, I'm hoping that an MVP can help me with the same issue on my PC please?

Links to Minidumps & MSInfo files below:

    http://sdrv.ms/WhjVpM

    http://sdrv.ms/YibAZ2

This is an AMD based desktop running Windows 8 32Bit, I am experiencing a crash with BSOD Driver Power State Failure probably daily or every other day.

Thanks for any assistance the forum can provide.
