DPM 2012 using large amounts of space at the system disk (C:) for replica and diferential data RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

Just have a quick question which I would really appreciate some assistance, so thanks in advance!!

I have multiple dpm protection groups configured in a DPM 2012 dedicated server, those protection groups include SQL, Sharepoint, File server data and exchange.

Everything is working fine except the part that DPM seems to be using a lot of disk space from my system disk (C:) to storage its replicas (image below demonstrates example space usage). The only folders taking up space are the replica, and DiffArea folders as there are others with volume identifiers, but empty.

Is this a normal behavior for DPM? Is there a way to redirect these replicas to another disk?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
