  • Hi,

"In the Registry also there is no windowsupdate folder under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate"
It may can't get updated Group Policy.

Is this issue only for this one windows server 2012?
If so, you could check if the Windows Update service is running well.
Or you could restart the service and try it again.

  • Hello Alfi,

Did you follow this? Please follow and let me know staus.

    1. Check connectivity from 2012 to 2008 (port 8530, 80)

    2. Check Group Policies

As I feel you have not correctly configure WSUS group policies. Unless you use group Policies via Domain Controller, Please configure WSUS related policies manually as below,

  • Hi Udara Kaushalya,

    I have...

    1.  Check connectivity from 2012 to 2008 (port 8530, 80) - how do i check that? a simple ping test works.

    2. Check Group Policies - gpresult /r bring back USER SETTING results and no COMPUTER SETTING.

i'm going now to check the PDF you have sent me... will update you as soon as i can.

    1. Do telnet from 2012 to 2008 as below,

    telnet (IP of 2008) 8530

    2. type below on 2012 and Check whether WSUS settings available there or not

    rsop.msc
