backup cannot be stopped RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

a backup is running for 24 hours on the sbs. Previous backups were fine.

I would like to restart the backup but it is not allowed. Is there any other option than to restart the server?

    Regards.

  • Open Taskmanager and look for a process named 'wbadmin' and kill that process

  • "I confuse why you need to restart SBS server backup"=> Because a backup is running for 3 days and doesn't stop (a full backup usually takes 3 hours).

I didn't reboot the server: it is a server, users are connected. And not sure a reboot will fix something.

  • No process named wbadmin. There is a wbengine process, perhaps this one?
