It seems you have encountered a PowerPoint crash. I would suggest you have the Office programs repaired: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/project-help/repair-or-remove-office-HA010357402.aspx Install Office 2010 SP1: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2460049 Then have the programs up to date via Windows Update.
