  • hi all ,

    i have the following :

    ocs std r2 fron end --> mediation --> gateway --> pbx --> pstn line

    now i am trying to make a call from communicator to pstn  but it fails always

    i do not know what is wrong ??

    is the ocs or mediation configuration or gateway configuration ???

    i want to know where the call dropped   ???

    how can i trace the call to know where is the error be ????

  • Easiest trace you can run is on the Client enable this in the MOC options. The logs are stored in %userprofile%\tracing

    The client trace probably won't give enough information and you will need to run logging on the OCS front end, right click on Pool in the management console and select the logging tool. You will probably want to enable tracing of Outboundrouting and SIPStack. The resource kit has a tool called snooper which allows you to read the logs in a friendly format.

    You can also run traces on most gateways and pbx's. Basically start at one end and then look at traces on various elements through the process.
